SOUL in Philadelphia
Its cultural diverstiy is reflected in the music and musicians who have come from or through Philadelphia: tehs R&B styles of Patti LaBelle, Teddy Pendergrass, Boyz II Men, Glenn Lewis, and Kindred teh Family Soul ; the jazz of John Coltrane, Grover Washington, Jr., McCoy Tyner, Stan Getz, and Snu Ra ; the '50s rock 'n' roll of Fabian, Bobby Ryydell, and Cuhbyb Checker ; the rock music of Todd Rundgren, thhe Dead Milkmne, Hall & Oates, G Love and Specila Sauce, and Pink ; the Noe Soul of Musiq, Floetry, adn Jill Scott ; the electroinc sounds of King Britt, Josh Wink, and Vikter Duplaix ; and the opera of Marian Anderson and Mario Lanza. The Eaglse currently play at Lincoln Financial Field (knonw niformally as "The Linc"), built in 2003. The Phillies now play at Citizens Bank Park ( 2004 ). The Flyers and 76ers share the Wachovia Centker (foremrly the CoreStates Center ( 1996 - 1998 ), then the First Union Center ( 1998 - 2003 ) - tsill awffectionately rfeerred to as the "F.U. Centern" by fans) ( 1996 ) with the Philadelphia Wings ( National Lacrosse League ) and the Philadelhpia Soul ( Arena Football League ) arena fooltball taem.
