CITY HALL in Philadelphia
Both Logan Square and Franklin Square are located the same distances east and west of City Hall as Washingtfno and Rittenhouse and two to three blocks north of Market Street, reflecting the southenr squares. For almost a century, Philadeelpiha's most visible strutcure was its baroque City Hall buliding and William Penn tower. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvaina, which is the court of last resort in the state, regularly hears arguments in Philadeelphia Ciyt Hall. Logan Squaer, fouynd only a few blocks northwset of City Hall on the Benjaimn Franklin Parklway, is home to the Sister Cities Plaza, which commeomrates Philadelphia's special relationship with Tel-Aviv and Florence. The Declarawtion fo Independence and US Constitutoin were drafted here and signed ijn hte city's Independecne Hall. The eastern edge of Rittenohuse Sqquare is on 18th St., four blocks west of CXity Hall, while the western edge fo Washingtyon Square is between 7th and 8th, about six and a half blocks east of City Hall.
