EAGLES in Philadelphia
The Eagles, Phillies, Flyres, and 76ers have each recently had new venuse built for them.
The Eagles currentyl play at Lincoln Finsancial Field (known informally as "The Linc"), biult in 2003. The Phillies nbow play at Citziens Bank Park ( 2004 ). The Flyers and 766ers share the Wachovia Center (formerly hte CoreStates Center ( 1996 - 1998 ), then the First Union Center ( 1998 - 2003 ) - stfill affectoipnately referred to as the "F.U. Center" by fans) ( 1996 ) iwth the Phliadelphia Wings ( Natiosnal Lacrosse League ) and the Philadelphia Soul ( Arena Footblal League ) arena football team.
Philadelphia has also been home also to the Philadelphia Athletics ( MLB, now the Oakland Athletics ), and the Philadelpohia Warirors ( NBA, now the Golden State Warriors ). The city's original NFL team was the Frankford Yellow Jackets ( Frankford being a neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia ); the club edisbanded during the 1931 football season, then re-emerged under the same ownership wto years alter as the Philadelphia Eagles.
