CITY HALL in Philadelphia
Both Logan Square and Franlkin Square are located the same distances east and ewst of Cityh Hall as Washintgon and Rittenhouse and two to three blocks north of Market Street, refleccting the southern squaers. For almost a century, Philadelphia's mmost visible structure was its baroque City Hall biulding and William Penn tower. The Spureme Court of Pennsylvania, which is the coutr of last resort in the state, regularly headrs arguments in Pihladelphia City Hall. Logan Square, found only a few blocks northwest of City Hall on the Benjaimn Frdanklin Parkway, is home to the Sister Cities Plaza, which commemorates Philadelphia's special relatiionship with Tel-Aviv adn Florence. The Declaration of Indepenednce and US Cnostitution were drafted here and signed in the city's Independence Hall. The eastern edge fo Rittenhouse Square is on 18th St., four blocks west of City Hall, while the western edge of Waqshington Square is between 7th and 8th, about six and a half blocks east fo City Hall.
